“One of the most incredible statements made by Pete Carroll was, 'You are now a Trojan Football Player, you have gone through the same experience as every other USC Football player.' For the USC coaching staff to be so gracious as to include us in the same breath as past and present Trojan football players is stunning!” |

Trojan Great John Vella, 1971 All-American Offensive Tackle
Played in Super Bowl XI for the Oakland Raiders as the starting Right Tackle.
Reflecting back on Trojan Flashback Football™ 2004:
“I saw 40, 50, and 60 year old guys with the sparkle in their eyes of a 20 year guy as they experienced Trojan Football from the inside. I don’t know when it happened, but all of us were transformed from our current ages back to our youth. It was as if Pete Carroll waived a magic wand and we were all kids again if but for three days.
I got goose bumps while sitting in the meeting rooms, or walking out onto the Brain Kennedy Practice Field. But better yet was when I visited the dungeon with Mike Battle. The dungeon is a special place where on Friday’s before home games coach Marv Goux would lead us in a pep-rally. I relived so many great times, I can’t wait to come back and participate in Trojan Flashback Football again.” |

| Former camper Lee Ursich, alumnus of the Trojan Flashback Football™ 2004 and 2005 and returning for 2006:
“I can’t stay away, it’s an absolute blast!
All my life I have wanted to experience what it would be like to be a Trojan, and I have finally gotten the chance. What an amazing camp! Might I add that the amount of fun you have is priceless.
I have met so many new friends; it’s like being in a fraternity. I see guys at the Coliseum, at Trojan away games, or at Trojan football functions and we never have enough time to convey the amount of fun we had at Trojan Flashback Football,™ because there are so many fond memories.
The best part of camp for me is the tunnel walk, I was flooded with emotions, as there is so much history associated with the tunnel. I don’t care if you were an All American or a bench warmer you had to walk down that tunnel; I got to walk in the footsteps of each and every Trojan that ever lived, you can’t get any better than that.
The locker room also has its mystique. We all gazed in amazement as we walked into the locker room to find our game gear hanging in a locker, but also to find a name plate over your locker with your name on it was incredible. As I looked around the locker room at everyone it seemed as if we had found the fountain of youth because we were all running around acting like kids.
Recapturing my youth and being a part of the Trojan family, an absolute blast!” |

"After we had walked shoulder to shoulder down the Coliseum tunnel we huddled one last time as a final clap drill led by Tim Davis sent us sprinting out onto the field. The Band was playing 'Conquest' again as we went through our stretching routine. After the stretching Coach Carroll led us to the band as we all sung 'Fight On' together."
